Vomitrot – Emetic Imprecations Review

September 17, 2024September 16, 2024 Reviewed by Bobo Dupla No comments

This 6 track primitive death metal is everything a death metal bear could wish for. Filled with prehistoric, down-tuned riffs, bass with a heavy presence and quick decisions from the drummer — Emetic Imprecations never holds back and will mercilessly beat you into submission until you vomit and excrete bodily fluids from every hole.

Pallbearer – Mind Burns Alive Review

May 22, 2024May 22, 2024 Reviewed by Metalligator No comments

The progressive side of Pallbearer is back, yet colored differently by a larger rock-to-metal ratio than before, in favor of the former. This is not the upbeat or punky rock you might expect from post punk or noise rock bands, but rather the arena rock-ballad kind, somewhere between Neil Young and Takida. Arð – Untouched By Fire Review

May 8, 2024May 7, 2024 Reviewed by Anti-Peat No comments

Untouched By Fire is a bleakly beautiful homage to Northumbria’s history. It tells the story of its founder, King Oswald, through the medium of doom metal. It’s bloody good doom metal too, powerful and insistent. Think Moonsorrow, think Árstíðir Lífsins. Arð you ready for some AOTY material?
