Becko – PRESENT DAY // PRESENT TIME Review

Tagged as “Anime Metalcore”, Becko plays a cornucopia of different genres of music, ranging from EDM to Hip-Hop to Metalcore. If there’s one positive about this release, it’s that the song “HYPNOTIZED” is the least offensive song present. I don’t mind this track, as it sounds like something fit for jamming in the background while playing a video game. Will this album wake up your inner gaming nerd?

Infecting the Swarm – Pulsing Coalescence Review

Infecting the Swarm claims to make music for fans of Disentomb, Defeated Sanity and Euphoric Defilement. Neither Disentomb nor Defeated Sanity comparisons apply fully. Rather, I feel the best comparison is likely Spain’s Wormed, whose dissonant, almost machine-like Brutal Death Metal approaches texture in a Brutal Death Metal context similarly to how Infecting the Swarm do it.
